Many of the original paintings shown on this website are available for purchase. Prices vary based on size and complexity, please contact us for specific information if interested.
The paintings may also be ordered as Giclee prints. Giclees (pronounced "Zhee-clay") are high-quality reproductions which closely match the original at a fraction of the cost. They are printed on archival stock using archival inks.
THE GICLEE PROCESS:
Giclee is a French term meaning "spray of ink". It is a print created using state-of-the art ink jet printers to produce museum-quality images. By printing onto the same materials as the original (usually either canvas or paper) a remarkably accurate reproduction is created.
Unlike conventional printing, Giclees do not use dot screens or four-color separations. As a result the image is crisper and sharper, with brighter colors and highlights. Exact calculations of hue, value and density direct four nozzles, spraying over four million ink droplets per second. This produces a combination of 3 million possible shades of color. The artist's input and approval are essential for creating the final custom setting for each print.
Giclee prints have gained wide acceptance from many artists, museums and institutions. We would be happy to supply further information upon request.
Giclees are $750 each plus tax, shipping and handling. They are shipped unmounted and unframed, unless previously requested. Please contact us for exact specifications.
